One reason is most schools indulge in lots of hours giving emphasis on religion, religious rights, rituals, and traditional religious activities instead of giving more hours for science, math, literature, and other important academic subjects. Students tend to study less because they are made to believe that religion can solve problems. When they have problems, they are told to pray, instead of using their brains, talent, and their natural gifts.
