Shangri-La Plaza is one with the nation in celebrating every Filipino athlete at the Olympics with a special showcase of Team Philippines’ “Sinag” barong by designer Francis Libiran at the East Wing.
Donned by Filipino Olympians at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, the barong features eye-catching details celebrating the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage.
Carefully constructed using luxurious piña-jusi fabric, each has a detachable silk organdy sling adorned with embroidered sun rays and patterns inspired by Pintados, the precolonial tattooed warriors. The sling is also purposely placed near the wearer’s heart, representing our athletes’ love for the country.

Apart from Libiran, Adidas Philippines has also teamed up with the Philippine Olympic Committee to deck out Filipino athletes with sporty casual Village and Podium looks for 16 officially sponsored teams. Adidas Shang has got the exact Adidas Ultraboost 5 sneakers Yulo wore on the podium.
