Talk of the Town: Change will come from dissent and defiance

Unfortunately, most Filipinos are poorly educated and lack critical thinking because it is discouraged in this corrupt Catholic country. Elections are neither free nor fair, vote-buying is the norm, and cheating by hacking the computerized system recently. The few who express dissent like the activists-journalists-militant workers/students are not openly defiant; fewer are those still going out on the streets. Another Edsa seems impossible.
