This flexibility would allow the Philippines to choose what’s best for itself in each situation. By staying neutral, it can trade with both Western countries and rising economies like China and India, avoiding overreliance on any single partner … The main challenge is balancing all these relationships under pressure from bigger powers, which requires skilled diplomacy. But overall, nonalignment would help the Philippines stay flexible, independent, and secure.
