BIZ BUZZ: ‘E-aguinaldo’
December 12, 2024
If you are planning to give monetary gifts this Christmas—like many of us do—the BSP wants you to consider sending “e-aguinaldo” this season instead.
The BSP said that sending cash gifts electronically is convenient and efficient, and it promotes a more digital and inclusive Philippine economy.
But if you still want to give physical cash this season, the central bank reminded the public that exchanging banknotes and coins—including unfit currencies—for crisp ones with their depository banks is free of charge.
But seriously though, give e-aguinaldo a try.
