I retired in the 90s and get a measly P2,500 monthly pension. How can one survive with this amount? It is not even enough for my medicines daily dosage for diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure! The peso has been devalued, the prices of goods and medicine have sky-rocketed but the pension remains the same!

SSS is not able to collect the Premium contributions and has to resort to increases to meet its mandate. Not dissimilar to PhilHealth which is now becoming a Cash Cow for the crooks and the greedy.
