BIZ BUZZ: HK, Cebu top Pinoy holiday picks
The holiday vacation just ended a few weeks ago and some probably still have yet to fully ease into work again.
After all, many spent their time lounging by the beach during the holidays—and they have traded scenic sunsets to screens as they report back to work.
Cebu Pacific said the top local destinations in the past month were Cebu, Davao and Iloilo for passengers who likely spent their time with family during Christmas and New Year break.
“Notably, Boracay and Bacolod remained favorite picks as well, attracting beach lovers and food enthusiasts alike,” the budget carrier added.
Outside the country, the Gokongwei-led airline said the top choice was Hong Kong, which is famous for several attractions like DisneyLand.
Many Filipinos also booked their flights to Narita, Singapore, Bangkok and Dubai during the holidays.
“Dubai attracts Filipinos with its iconic skyscrapers, desert safaris, and the vibrant festivities of the Dubai Shopping Festival in December,” the airline said.
“What makes Dubai even more inviting this season is the opportunity for many Filipinos to reunite with their distant relatives, as it is home to a large and growing community of overseas Filipino workers,” it added.
