Sta. Lucia Land champions sports development with lot donation
Trusted property developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc. has donated a 1-hectare prime commercial lot to the local government of Nasugbu in Batangas province to support the town’s development initiatives.
The lot, valued at P200 million, will serve as the future site of the Nasugbu Sports Complex, which is located within Sta. Lucia Land Inc.’s upcoming mixed-used development called Nasugbu Newtown Center.
Milestone
A groundbreaking ceremony held on December 11, 2024 marked the official turnover of the property to the local government. Sta. Lucia Land president and CEO Exequiel Robles, along with key local government officials, presided over the event, signaling the commencement of construction and development.
At the ceremony, Robles recognized the significance and value of supporting the advocacies being upheld by LGUs like Nasugbu.
“This milestone reflects Sta. Lucia Land’s dedication to empowering local communities and fostering a new era of sports excellence in Nasugbu,” he said.
Pioneering project
The proposed Nasugbu Sports Complex will feature state-of-the-art facilities catering to a broad range of athletic activities. From essential amenities to specialized equipment, the complex will support athlete training and host various sports events, bolstering Nasugbu’s profile in the national sports arena.
As a pioneering project in the municipality, the complex is envisioned to help transform local youth development and nurture homegrown talent. It is anticipated to not only elevate Nasugbu’s status in the sports domain but also to boost the local property market and infrastructure development.
The project has garnered significant support from influential public figures, including Senators Grace Poe and JV Ejercito, as well as sports icons like basketball star LA Tenorio. This broad-based endorsement highlights the collective drive to promote sports excellence at the national level.
Cultivating, promoting sports
Sta. Lucia Land’s history of supporting sports initiatives is well-documented, particularly in its role as the leading developer of world-class golf courses in the Philippines. The company has hosted numerous local and international golf tournaments, further cementing its reputation for promoting and cultivating sports development.
In addition to the lot donation, Sta. Lucia Land has actively collaborated with Nasugbu’s local government on various initiatives, such as facilitating events like the “Paskong Todo Todo Sa Unang Distrito” concert held on Dec. 21, 2024, using its properties to enhance community engagement.
