The fully-electric EX30 scored a maximum Five-Star Rating in the latest round of safety testing conducted by The European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), cementing Volvo’s longstanding and well-known position as a leader in automotive safety.
Euro NCAP is a leading independent car safety assessment program in Europe that helps customers make informed decisions about the safety performance of cars on the market.
The EX30 is as safe as one would expect from Volvo. With safety systems developed through Volvo’s unique safety knowledge gained from research in real-world accidents for over 50 years, it is designed to help protect its driver and passengers in the event of a crash in real life.
It does so through modern restraint technology, as well as a structural design that fulfills Volvo’s pioneering in-house safety requirements. These ambitious requirements often exceed official testing requirements and are designed to prepare cars for various real-world scenarios which can sometimes be far more complicated than standardized testing.
In addition to Volvo’s consistently high standards for protective safety, the EX30 also comes with an advanced suite of active safety features designed to help the driver avoid and mitigate collisions or risks.
The crowning safety feature of the EX30 is Volvo’s advanced Pilot Assist. This innovative and intuitive system, features steering and lane change assist, while managing speed and distance to vehicles ahead. Designed to aid drivers in various road and traffic conditions, this technology enhances safety and convenience, providing peace of mind and a more relaxed driving environment for everyone on the road.
In the city, the EX30’s Intersection Auto Brake is engineered to prevent or lessen accidents at intersections by automatically stopping the car if another vehicle unexpectedly crosses the driver’s path. Additionally, the EX30 features a Door Opening Alert that uses visual and audio cues to warn the driver if activated. This is particularly vital when opening the door as a cyclist passes by, helping to reduce the ‘dooring’ incidents that lead to many cycling crashes. Lastly, an advanced driver alert system comes as standard and looks out for you when the driver is not at their best.
“At HARI, we are fully aligned with Volvo’s vision of not only providing the safest vehicles but also fostering a safer environment for everyone sharing the road,” said Ms. Maria Fe Perez Agudo, Vice Chairman, President, and CEO of Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc., the official distributor of Volvo Cars in the Philippines
“This commitment is a cornerstone of our mission to deliver safer roads for all Filipinos. Together with Volvo, we are dedicated to advancing automotive excellence and road safety to meet global standards,” Agudo said.
