Cebu Pacific flies Cebu-Ho Chi Minh direct

Passengers flying from Cebu will have another option when going to Ho Chi Minh as Cebu Pacific is set to operate a direct flight to the most populous city in Vietnam on Apr. 7.
In a statement on Thursday, the Gokongwei-led carrier said that it would offer the Cebu-Ho Chi Minh flights three times a week.
“As Vietnam continues to grow in popularity among Filipino travelers, launching a new gateway to the country via Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting step for Cebu Pacific,” said Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao.
This will be the seventh international destination the low-cost carrier is operating from its Cebu hub. It also flies passengers to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Incheon, Tokyo, Osaka and Singapore.
Last week, Philippine Airlines also announced it would start its Cebu-Ho Chi Minh flights by May 2, also three times a week.
Cebu Pacific facilitates 24 local routes from Cebu airport, including Bacolod, Boracay, Camiguin, Clark, Coron, Davao, Dumaguete, Masbate, Manila, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Siargao and Zamboanga.
The budget airline flew more than 5.6 million passengers to and from Cebu last year, translating to nearly 50 percent of Mactan-Cebu International Airport’s total passenger volume for the period.
The latest figure also showed 20-percent growth from 4.65-million passenger traffic in 2023.
This year, Cebu Pacific is targeting to increase its passenger volume growth by about 20 percent across all hubs after servicing 24.5 million guests in 2024.
The carrier, as of January, has a total system-wide seats of 3 million.
