A Chinese national was arrested at the upscale Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City last week for alleged scamming activities, the National Bureau of Investigation said on Wednesday.

The Ayala Alabang Village Association earlier alerted the NBI to the suspect’s activities, prompting the bureau to apply for a search warrant from the court.

A raid on one of the houses resulted in the arrest of Wang Haipeng on Feb. 20. The agents also confiscated two laptops and assorted ATM cards from Wang.

There were five Filipinos present at Wang’s house when it was raided. They are under investigation and verification as of Wednesday.
