MMDA probing official over ‘shaming’ incident

Avatar

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has apologized for the behavior of Special Operations Group-Strike Force chief Gabriel Go who reportedly shamed a police captain over his illegally parked motorcycle in Quezon City last week.

The MMDA said it is “addressing the matter seriously and with full accountability” as it asked Go to explain his actions in the March 25 clearing operations near the Anonas police station.

“It will be a learning experience for Mr. Go and the MMDA as a whole. A proper apology should be made to P/Capt. Erik Felipe for the harm it may have caused him and his family,” the MMDA said in a statement.
