A fitting tribute to a real estate trailblazer

Exequiel “Excy” Robles, president of Sta. Lucia Land Inc., marked his 70th birthday with an unforgettable evening at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort, Manila. The surprise celebration, lovingly organized by his family, was a tribute to a well-respected man whose influence has helped shape the country’s real estate landscape.
The evening honored Robles as “The Man. The Myth. The Legend.”—a title befitting a leader known for his vision, integrity, and dedication to nation-building through property development. The event celebrated not only a successful entrepreneur, but a pioneer whose impact is felt across communities.

To the public, he is a respected industry titan, but to those close to him, he is simply “Excy” or “101.” In a heartfelt tribute that went beyond titles and accolades, his loved ones expressed their deep admiration through touching speeches, surprise appearances, and meaningful performances that left Robles visibly moved.
His grandchildren lit up the stage with lively dance routines and songs, followed by musical numbers from his wife and children. A standout moment came with a performance by Gigi De Lana and the Gigi Vibes band—one of Robles’ personal favorites—who brought the house to life with classic hits.

The evening was also graced by the presence of his business partners including Gregorio María “Greggy” Araneta III, Irene Marcos-Araneta, Simeon Cua, Ma. Rosario “Chari” Yulo-Ng, and Robbie Leviste.
The ballroom’s Art Deco-inspired décor in silver, gold, and blue added a layer of elegance that perfectly captured the grandeur of the occasion and complemented the hotel’s sophisticated ambiance.

A series of video presentations showcased Robles’ inspiring journey—from humble beginnings to becoming a respected name in Philippine real estate. Messages from family, friends, and colleagues painted a portrait of a man who is not only a trailblazer in his field but also a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The evening closed with a toast from his eldest son and a ballroom dance led by his closest friends—a fitting end to a celebration that honored both the man and the legacy he continues to build.
