BIZ BUZZ: Grand Prix, anyone?

Avatar

Many Formula 1 fans may be on the edge of their seats while waiting for the Madrid Grand Prix in 2026. After all, it has been 45 years since the Spanish capital last hosted the race.

With a race that’s bound to happen in Madrid until 2035, developer DoubleDragon Corp. is capitalizing on F1 fans’ need for a place to stay—and a new investment—in selling out its newest project.

We’re talking about the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid, which topped off last week just 11 months from the start of construction.

Slated for full completion by December this year, Hotel101-Madrid comes just in time for the F1 Grand Prix in Madrid.

Apart from its close proximity to the race proper, the property is also close to the new Madrid Barajas International Airport.

We expect nothing less from the project that’s seen to become among the five largest hotels in Madrid.

This, of course, is just one of the many projects that tycoon Edgar “Injap” Sia II is plotting for Hotel101. DoubleDragon has already identified at least 25 countries in its quest to take root in 100 nations across the globe, so maybe we’ll see a new Hotel101 soon enough.
