According to the weather bureau, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Baler, Aurora, will experience a heat index of 43 C on Monday.

The following areas, meanwhile, will have a slightly lower heat index on Monday at 42 C: Bacnotan, La Union; Aparri, Cagayan; Iba, Zambales; Subic Bay, Olongapo City; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Camiling, Tarlac; Coron, Palawan; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Virac, Catanduanes; and Masbate City, Masbate.

“Dangerous” levels of heat index could cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion, and prolonged exposure to such heat could lead to heat stroke, warned Pagasa.
