Several things we love about the newly-launched Hyundai Creta

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) rolled out the newest model of the Creta at Sta. Elena’s Lake Hall Events Place in Cabuyao, Laguna, just this May 27, Tuesday.
Aside from the usual things we love about the compact SUV, such as its sophisticated looks, superb performance and top-notch safety features, this sexy critter is now available in the N Line variant.
In fact, in other countries, like India, the Creta is the number one model in the B-segment SUV category.
During its recent launch here in the country, HMPH president, Jiho Son, said, “Hyundai Motor Philippines is proud to continually diversify its lineup.”
“As we launch the new Creta, we want to keep pushing for our vision to provide not just innovative mobility solutions, but more so, a vehicle lineup that caters to the needs of every Filipino and becoming their best partner on the road.”
Sophisticated and sexy looks
The Creta first made its presence known worldwide with its global debut back in 2014. In 2022, the vehicle was then introduced locally. This stunner is perfect for dynamic individuals who are always on the go.
What they usually love about the vehicle is its amazing aesthetics.
Now embodying the Korean brand’s design language, “Sensous Sportiness,” the new Creta now sports a bolder look that makes it stand out from the crowd. Its redesigned front fascia features a new black chrome Parametric Jewel Grille, signature LED position lamps, while its overall panache is capped by newly-designed alloy wheels, not to mention being adorned with its new Sequential Turn Indicators.
At its rear, its redesigned layout highlights “H”-themed rear combination lamps, offering better visibility overall, as well as allowing it to strut stylishly on the road.
Inside, it now dons a bigger all-digital instrument cluster, while its 10.25-inch infotainment screen presents a high-definition display and smooth graphics, equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and built-in Waze navigation.
Space-wise, cargo space can be further expanded from 433 liters up to 1,401 liters with adjustable fold-flat seats.
Top-notch safety features
Aside from eye-catching features, the new Creta is equipped with multiple safety features that brings peace of mind to both driver and passengers.
Its upgraded Hyundai SmartSense features include the following: smart cruise control with stop and go; forward collision avoidance assist; lane following assist; lane keeping assist; blind spot collision avoidance assist; blind spot view monitor; reverse parking distance warning, and surround view monitor.
In addition, dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, hill start assist control and tire pressure monitoring system come standard.
It likewise consists of other features, such as driver attention warning; high beam assist; child safety locks and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Much-anticipated N variant
The N Line is the Hyundai brand’s high-performance lineup.
“N” is the first letter of Naymang, which is the research and development center in South Korea where the Hyundai N Line models are built.
Here in the country, we already have the Ioniq N and the Elantra N line models.
Now, this newest Creta has finally acquired its own version.
Like any of its N line models, this variant is a spruced up version of the regular Creta. In short, it’s like Popeye on ‘Spinach’ mode.
Sportier and more aggressive looks outside are achieved by an N Line exclusive badge and accents. This also includes bolder bumpers and dual exhaust tips, with an addition of new 18-inch alloys. While a new rear spoiler caps its overall exterior giving it more swag.
Inside, its more dynamic cabin further gives the vehicle its sportier vibe. A three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, drive and traction control, red ambient mood lamp, and red interior accents all help attain this athletic character.
At its heart is the 1.5L Turbo GDI Engine paired with a seven-speed DCT transmission, producing 158 hp and 253 N-m of torque.
The new Hyundai Creta is offered in Creamy White Pearl, Midnight Black, Magnetic Silver, Slate Blue Pearl. While the new Creta N Line are exclusively available in colors Shadow Gray and Dragon Red.
The vehicle is priced as follows: 1.5 GL IVT – P1,134,000; 1.5 GLS IVT – P 1,254,000; 1.5 Premium IVT – P 1,333,000 and 1.5T N Line 7DCT – P1,379,000.
Test drive and other models on display
After the launch ceremony in the morning, test drive activities for the media and various vehicle displays were then held for the whole afternoon.
Aside from the new Hyundai Creta N Line variant being unveiled at Lake Hall Events Place in Laguna, its premium version was also there.
Furthermore, the new Hyundai Elantra models, which were unveiled at the Manila International Auto Show last April, were likewise on display.
These newest Elantras, which consist of the Hybrid Premium and N Line variants, sport sleeker and sharper looks as inspired by its Parametric Jewel Design.
First, the N Line model exclusively features the 1.6 Turbo engine mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, sport bucket seats and paddle shifters.
Meanwhile, the all-new Elantra Hybrid Premium model is powered by a 1.6 HEV engine.
