A family’s fresh start at The Arton by Rockwell

Amy Remo

It was more than just a new home. For the young

Claudio family, moving into The Arton by Rockwell in Quezon City unlocked an even more refreshing, easygoing lifestyle for all four members of their household.

Besides convenience, this upscale, three-tower residential development in Katipunan offered a sense of security and stability, a better rhythm to family life, and more importantly, the luxury of time. Here, they found a conducive community and a warm home, where Macky reclaims his mornings, Inna balances family and fitness, Leila studies and pursues her passions, and little Chel’s childhood unfolds in a safe, playful haven.

Here, the Claudios discovered a space that enriched their family’s life—echoing the signature Rockwell lifestyle of convenience, sophistication and exclusivity.

Work-life balance

“Living in our new home definitely improved my work-life balance because it significantly reduced my travel time to get to my work. When we still lived in Antipolo, I needed to leave early all of the time because of the distance, and I also had to take into account the heavy traffic,” said the 41-year-old Macky, an ophthalmologist by profession.

Macky explained that they primarily chose the development due to its ideal location. It is right between the two hospitals where he works; near the University of the Philippines Diliman where his daughter, Leila, is currently a freshman; and practically walking distance to the Ateneo de Manila University, where his son, Chel, will soon study.

This kind of proximity meant mornings can be enjoyed at home, not in gridlock—with the minutes saved, via shorter commutes, translating to more bonding time with the family.

“Since I live a lot nearer to the hospitals I work in, [I] have my mornings free to do other stuff like bringing my kids to school, doing errands with my wife, and being able to work out in the gym or swim in the morning before leaving for work. I get home a lot earlier than before, and this allows me to spend more time with my family in the evenings,” the father of two added.

Wellness and leisure

More than its location, however, the community also delivers a lifestyle built around wellness and leisure. With dedicated open spaces, the Claudio family can easily swap screen time for fresh air—jogging along tree-lined paths, doing laps at the pool, or stretching out on the expansive lawn.

Macky, an avid pickleball player, is also eagerly awaiting the completion of the indoor

FIBA-sized multipurpose court at the upcoming East Tower, while his family is already enjoying the varied facilities here, including the gym and play areas.

His wife, Inna, particularly loves the thoughtfully designed spaces that allow them to relax and socialize with neighbors.

Feeling of home

According to Inna, her typical day revolves around these amenities. After bringing Chel to school, she heads to the gym—sometimes with Leila—to squeeze in a workout before running errands. In the afternoons, she makes sure Chel has time to swim, dash around the play area with his friends, giving him the freedom to enjoy childhood in a safe environment.

“We love the community—the friends we’ve met and made connections with, the environment that our kids get to experience every day, among many other things we enjoy,” Inna said.

That sense of belonging further grows with each event they attend—the Summer Socials, Trivia Night, and Christmas Party, among them. Add to that the everyday exchanges with neighbors make the Claudios feel they truly belong here.

“The Arton feels more than just a residence because of the community and amenities it provides. Everyone here, from the guards to the staff to fellow neighbors, are all very kind and makes me feel at home here,” added Leila.

“I am confident to say it has become my home filled with everything I could ever need. I love the time it saves me in going to school. I love the exercise I can get by walking around, swimming, or going to the gym,” she explained.

Sound, practical investment

It may have taken the Claudios some time to take the leap, but they know investing in The Arton was one of the best decisions they have made.

“We chose this property over the others in the area because we felt that the spaces here are the most suitable for family living. We opted for a more spacious condo with very good facilities. And since Rockwell is a reputable name, we also felt that it was going to be a very good investment,” Macky said.

For Inna, the choice was even more personal: “Invest in a place where you feel safe and where your community shares your values. You can’t put a price on the happiness, security, and convenience your family finds at home.”
