New Bentley Continental GT continues award-winning streak

The new fourth-generation Bentley Continental GT — recently launched in the Philippines during the unprecedented PGA Cars World of Supercars event — continues to receive honors from prestigious publications as it earns a 2025 Robb Report “Best of Best” award.

In naming the Continental GT Speed First Edition as having the Best Interior, luxury lifestyle authority Robb Report recognized the definitive grand tourer’s elevated aesthetic, use of sustainable and rare materials, and meticulous attention to detail.

The award marks another milestone in Bentley’s long-standing commitment to excellence in design, materials, and craftsmanship.

Robb Report’s Best of Best award follows the Best Cars honor which the Continental GT received from Auto Motor und Sport. Rising above the more than 400 vehicles across 12 categories evaluated for the award, the new Continental GT was recognized for its blend of high performance, exquisite cabin features, and stunning design.

The grand tourer has earned a string of awards from other publications, as well. These include having been named the top model in the luxury import category by readers of German magazine Auto Bild, and winning the Best Cars title in a poll conducted by Swiss magazine Auto Illustrierte.

International media organization Newsweek also recognized the Continental GT Speed’s remarkable powertrain and handcrafted luxury by voting to its selection of Most Anticipated New Vehicles.

The interior of the Continental GT seamlessly blends modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. It features new veneer materials — including open-pore wood — intricate quilting, and enhanced personalization options from Mulliner.

In the Philippines, the Continental GT completes Bentley’s plug-in hybrid range that is composed of the new Bentayga Hybrid and the Flying Spur.

At the heart of the new Continental GT is the new Ultra Performance Hybrid system that pairs a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor. Combined, the system produces 782 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque.

This power is delivered to the wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential with active torque vectoring, guaranteeing consistent traction in every condition.

These let the Continental GT accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h. The hybrid system allows for over 80 kilometers of all-electric driving range.

In the Continental GT Speed version, ride quality benefits from the new Bentley Performance Active Chassis, dual valve damper system, and dual chamber air springs. Also ensuring dynamic ability and steering feel are the Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll stabilization system, limited slip differential, and torque vectoring.

Marking the exterior of the new Continental GT are the most significant updates ever to the Continental GT nameplate and adopts key design elements — like a long hood, pronounced rear fenders, and sleek coupe profile — from Bentley’s iconic 1953 R Type Continental. Its upright front end is marked by a single main headlamp on each side, a design touch not seen on a Bentley since the 1950s.

Defining the headlamps are horizontal eyebrows, a crystal-cut effect, and individually controlled LEDs.

At the rear, sculpted surfaces on the trunk lid eliminate a spoiler that deploys.

The Continental GT’s latest accolade affirms Bentley’s focus on refinement, innovation, and craftsmanship, continuing to define modern grand touring.
