Woman arrested for trafficking own children

A woman has been arrested for allegedly allowing the online and in-person sexual abuse of her five young children by foreigners who paid her, the National Bureau of Investigation said.
The victims, the youngest of whom was aged 12, were rescued by authorities. Their ordeal was discovered after the arrest of a Canadian national who transacted with their mother.
The case was referred to the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Center by Canadian authorities, the NBI said.
Through surveillance, NBI operatives confirmed that the woman was “actively offering her minor children to foreigners in exchange for money” either online or in-person.
During an entrapment operation coordinated with the Quezon City Social Welfare and Development, an NBI agent posed as a customer who was offered an in-person meetup by the suspect. The woman was later arrested.
