Apeco teams up with Freya for health center

The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (Apeco) and medical device distributor Freya Trading Inc. have partnered for the ecozone’s P16.83-million health center in Casiguran town.

Both parties entered into a joint venture agreement involving the Apeco Super Health Center. This is envisioned to meet future healthcare needs of locators and residents of Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag and adjacent towns.

The center will initially offer medical services, from routine check-ups and diagnostic tests to emergency care, urgent medical attention, along with minor surgeries and procedures.

Under the partnership, Apeco will provide the necessary land and infrastructure support for the facility.

Freya will finance the procurement, installation and upgrading of all medical equipment, including initial medical supplies. It will also shoulder the training of health center’s staff at no cost to the government.

“This generous commitment allows us to fully equip the Super Health Center without putting additional strain on public resources. It’s a clear example of how partnerships with the private sector can deliver meaningful, sustainable solutions for our people,” Apeco President and CEO Gil Taway IV said.

“Their clear direction gave us the confidence to move forward, knowing that this partnership will bring lasting benefits to the community and set a strong example of public-private collaboration to provide affordable, accessible and reliable service for the people,” Freya Managing Director Emmanuel Cueto said.

Before this, Apeco inked a deal with International Workplace Group, a flexible office and workspace solutions provider headquartered in Switzerland, for the super health center.
