Milestone unlocked: Profriends tops off Westwind in Lancaster New City

Property Company of Friends, Inc. (Profriends) celebrated a major milestone with the topping-off of the first building of Westwind, a low-rise, mixed-use development inside Lancaster New City Cavite, last Oct. 3.

For Profriends president Kathleen Choa, the ceremony is both a tradition to honor and a reminder that it is not just about completing a structure, but about creating a community where residents can thrive.

“Westwind is not just about building structures; it’s about building communities,” she said. “The topping-off of the first building brings us closer to realizing our vision of a complete and connected township where Filipino families can truly live, learn, move, work, play, and pray in one thriving environment.”

She also emphasized that Westwind is not an isolated project but an extension of the thriving Lancaster New City community. Future Westwind residents can look forward to the same vibrant neighborhood life already enjoyed by Lancaster’s homeowners—complete amenities, engaging community programs, and neighborhood traditions like ChristMasaya that foster a strong sense of belonging. The goal is for Westwind residents to not just own a home, but to be part of a bigger community that values connection, growth, and the good life.

A Community-centered development

Located in Lancaster New City, 13-ha Westwind gives families access to almost everything they need: schools, offices, leisure spots, churches, and transport hubs.

The development offers a range of units—from Studio to One- and Two-Bedroom—with some even featuring balconies. Beyond the living spaces, the community is designed with open areas and amenities families can enjoy, like jogging paths, bike lanes, outdoor workspaces, and a clubhouse with pool. Being a nature-friendly and a sustainable community is also a key part of the plan with tree-lined paths, open spaces and community efforts promoting sustainability are in place in the future.

In just a few months, Westwind will begin to take fuller shape as one building after another rises on schedule. The first three buildings alone will bring in more than 500 units, soon to be home to hundreds of families.

“By January, in just three months’ time, you will see the second building being constructed already. The third building is scheduled to be also awarded within next year,” Choa revealed.

Built with Trusted Partners

Future residents can be assured of quality, as Profriends partnered with Archipelago Builders Corporate (ABC), a Triple A contractor with a solid track record in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Choa even took the opportunity to honor the people behind the project’s success, including ABC, for their expertise and steadfast commitment to the project.

“If we didn’t partner with someone like ABC who guided us from the very start… and if they didn’t have the system, we wouldn’t be here. So I’d like to honor our designers, our construction team, our contractor for really holding hands and getting us to where we are right now,” Choa said.

Flags were raised to show unity and optimism for what lies ahead of Westwind.

Cavite as a growing hub

Once seen as a suburban retreat, Cavite has transformed into a thriving extension of Metro Manila. In and out of Lancaster New City, progress is visible in every corner. Commercial hubs like Evo City are bustling with restaurants, food parks, and shopping destinations that mirror the energy of the metro. SM is also set to open a major mall nearby, bringing retail and lifestyle conveniences closer to Caviteños. Transport infrastructure is keeping pace as well, with Cavitex, Calax, and the upcoming Cavite Bus Rapid Transit system enhancing connectivity.

These promise not just a comfortable life but a lifestyle anchored in connectivity and growth.

During the topping-off, guests also joined in symbolic activities, a “commitment tree” was filled with signed leaves to represent their support for the community, and despite the rain, flags were raised to show unity and optimism for what lies ahead.

Profriends has been in the business of building homes since 1999. It started with small housing projects in Cavite and has since grown into a developer of townships, estates, and even vertical communities. The company has already turned over more than 64,000 homes in Cavite and Iloilo, with projects such as Lancaster New City, Micara Estates–Tanza, Westwind, Minami Residences, Parc Regency Residences, Monticello Villas, and Monticello Intimo. From the start, its mission has been simple: to help transform lives by creating communities where families can thrive.
