The average Filipino lacks introspection, especially now when social media and TikTok have given Pinoys a 15-second attention span.

Moral numbness, loss or lack of concern with what is right or wrong, proper conduct. Sa wikang Pilipino, manhid sa moralidad; isama na katotohanan—manhid din sa katotohanan (truth). Thus, it makes sense to have a “Truth Commission,” but not reconciliation.
