It also enjoys proximity to key tourist destinations in Southern Luzon, including Taal and Anilao in Batangas, as well as Laguna.
That’s primarily because General Trias benefits from major infrastructure projects such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) expansion, the Cavite–Batangas Expressway (CBEx), the Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAx), and the upcoming LRT-1 Cavite Extension and Sangley Airport.
Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. earlier announced plans for a 25-km toll road connecting the proposed Bataan–Cavite Interlink Bridge to CALAx, providing a direct route from Mariveles, Bataan to General Trias.
Quality educational institutions
Among the esteemed universities that have campuses in this city include the Lyceum of the Philippines, Cavite State University, General Trias College of Cavite, and AMA University Town.
Just last month, the Ty family-led conglomerate GT Capital Holdings Inc. announced the development of a 15-ha new campus for Ateneo de Manila University at Riverpark in General Trias City.
Riverpark is the largest township development of GT Capital’s property development arm, Federal Land Inc. It will soon host a Uniqlo logistics facility and the SM City General Trias.
Rich culture and heritage
For those who want adventure focused on the country’s rich past, the Cavite Kalayaan Trail offers a well-structured journey across the historical places in the province.
General Trias, in particular, has heritage-rich locations like the San Francisco de Malabon Church and the GBR Museum, which features an authentic collection of antiquarian 19th and 20th century photographs of old Manila, as well as scenes from the Philippine-Spanish War and World War II. This collection shows the Filipino forefathers’ way of life, struggles, and triumphs.
