A century of nourishing goodness with Del Monte

For a hundred years, Del Monte Philippines has lived by one purpose, to nourish goodness in every Filipino home. More than a brand, it has become part of family traditions, uplifting lives through food that brings nourishment, care, and connection.

This enduring purpose takes center stage in “The Kaayo Film: A Century of Goodness in Motion,” the highlight of Del Monte’s centennial celebration. “Kaayo,” which means goodness, captures the brand’s journey from its beginnings in Bukidnon to its role in nourishing people and communities across generations. From the hands that nurture the land to the kitchens where families gather, the film tells a story of care passed from one generation to the next.

Del Monte today remains a familiar presence in Filipino homes. Its red-and-green labels line kitchen shelves and supermarket aisles—from pineapple juice and tomato sauce to fruit cocktail and pasta sauces. Its products continue to deliver quality, taste, and nutrition while remaining part of everyday family life.

Beyond the home, Del Monte’s impact reaches farmers, employees, and communities. Its initiatives support livelihoods, education, nutrition, and sustainability, which continues to empower farmers in Mindanao and uplift thousands of families through programs that build lasting opportunities.

Rooted in the land

Much of Del Monte’s story traces back to Bukidnon, where over 30,000 hectares of farmland supply its renowned pineapples. For a century, this land has been cultivated with care, shaped by generations of farmers who have built their lives around it. Del Monte’s sustainability work includes planting more than 700,000 trees, recycling water, and protecting soil health. These are efforts that have helped make the Bukidnon plantation carbon-neutral.

At the center of this story are the people who make Del Monte what it is today. More than 24,000 men and women power its operations, many of them second- and third-generation employees who carry on the legacy of those who came before them. Over the decades, the company has built housing, schools, a hospital, and recreational spaces within its community, creating a place where families can live and grow.

Through the Del Monte Foundation, the company’s support extends beyond the plantation to nearby communities. Education, livelihood, and nutrition programs have reached more than 200,000 people across 100 barangays. Over 1,700 scholars have benefited from scholarships, while additional initiatives provide classrooms, feeding programs, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, helping families and communities thrive.

Del Monte’s impact goes beyond the products it offers. Its 100% Pineapple Juice with PiñaPhyto5, Pineapple Tidbits, and Tomato Sauce with LycoNutrients are household staples that combine taste with nutrition. The brand continues to innovate with products like Fruity Zing and its dairy and snack lines, providing more ways for Filipinos to enjoy affordable, flavorful, and energizing food and drinks.

The brand also continues to champion health, nutrition, and creativity through Del Monte Kitchenomics, which has evolved from a beloved TV show into a thriving online community. Home cooks continue to find recipes, practical tips, and guidance on creating meals that are both delicious and nourishing.

A celebration of partnerships

As it turns 100, Del Monte is celebrating in a big way — teaming up with beloved brands that share its mission of bringing more goodness into everyday life.

Del Monte is giving back to Filipino families through a magical partnership with Disney—giving 100 families of four the chance to win all-expense paid trips to Hong Kong Disneyland through Del Monte Spaghetti Sauce packs, and create joyful memories that last a lifetime.
