Life opens up by the sea at Costa Calatagan

Ortigas Land introduces Costa Calatagan, a sprawling coastal estate rising along the town of Calatagan in Batangas.

Designed as a low-density coastal development, this 45-hectare mixed-use estate introduces a refreshing destination where coastal living, community upliftment, and environmental integrity naturally intertwine. As the company’s first leisure-focused estate, Ortigas Land blends private residential lots with an upcoming all-villa resort, offering both residents and visitors a thoughtful balance of wellness and community-oriented living.

Despite its serene, resort-like environment, the estate remains conveniently accessible—just an easy drive from Metro Manila via the Zobel Highway.

Created for those who value not only where they live or stay, but how they choose to live, the estate features more than 400 meters of beachfront shoreline. This anchors its identity in true coastal living, opening unique opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and uninterrupted scenic views.

Space and simplicity

Costa Calatagan has been masterplanned for those who value space, privacy, and simplicity.

The residential area features 219 private lots, with sizes ranging from 450 sqm to 700 sqm, designed for custom builds. These are thoughtfully integrated within a mature mango orchard and a grove of acacia trees, enhancing the natural ambiance and legacy of the land. Its layout avoids back-to-back lots, ensuring better privacy and access to natural light.

Guests and residents will get to enjoy the shared amenities curated to elevate coastal living.

Curated hospitality

Aside from offering private residential lots, Costa Calatagan is also set to accommodate short-term stays, complementing the estate’s spaces with curated hospitality and access to shared amenities.

The all villa resort, to be managed by Ortigas Land, will feature a collection of 123 private villas designed with coastal stillness and slow living in mind. It will open in phases beginning 2026.

Beyond the views, both guests and residents will get to enjoy the shared amenities curated to elevate coastal living. These include the 5-ha beach and the Seaside Clubhouse, featuring pools, five dining concepts, and a welcoming pavilion.

Jogging and walking trails weave through the grounds, complemented by sports and recreation areas that encourage movement and outdoor activity.

Lifestyle tie-ups with Europa Yachts and the Calatagan Golf Club further enrich the experience, giving guests and homeowners access to refined seaside pursuits.

A sustainable beachside community

Ultimately, Costa Calatagan’s long-term vision is grounded in sustainability and community integration.

Mature terrains have been preserved, while the estate follows the land’s natural topography to reduce disruption. Planned systems for solar energy, water reuse, and a green farm will support efficient estate operations and responsible sourcing.

Ortigas Land also intends to train and hire local residents from nearby communities for future roles within the estate, reinforcing a hospitality model shaped by local knowledge and familiarity.

Rather than reimagining Calatagan as a whole, Costa Calatagan seeks to complement it by offering new opportunities for leisure and investment while maintaining the character of its coastal surroundings.

With everyday wellness at its core and long-term sustainability built into its planning, Costa Calatagan presents a version of coastal living that is both mindful and forward-looking.
