Uptown Mall unwraps a stylish holiday season
This season of giving celebrates renewal as something old finds new life at Uptown Bonifacio.
In collaboration with renowned Filipino fashion designer Michael Leyva, Uptown Mall welcomed the holidays with thoughtful elegance that wrapped the mall in style.

Unveiling an angelic Christmas
A heavenly harp performance set the tone for Leyva’s holiday showcase and the much-anticipated Christmas tree reveal. Dancers in flowing white gracefully moved across the stage in a dreamlike opening, leading into a mini runway of his couture pieces—with each look drawing flashes from cameras.
All of these fittingly built excitement for the grand reveal of Leyva’s masterpiece, as audience members, mall-goers, and spectators from the atrium’s upper levels awaited the dramatic unveiling.
Finally, the drape concealing the tree was ceremoniously lifted, led by Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano; Megaworld president and chief executive officer Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso; Megaworld first vice president and head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, Graham Coates; cluster general manager Camille Elviña; and designer Michael Leyva.
From under the cover rose the 30-foot Christmas tree in its renewed beauty, establishing itself as Uptown Mall’s newest centerpiece. Its stunning silhouette, decorated with angelic details and layered textures, towered over the atrium, officially inviting in the holiday magic at Uptown Bonifacio.

The art of sustainability
Beyond its visual impact, Leyva’s creation became even more compelling through the story it holds.
Made from 13 years’ worth of scraps from his atelier, the structure was crafted using excess fabrics, archival trimmings, and leftover materials. Angelic details further embellished the installation, while a stunning celestial muse crowning the tree completed its towering beauty.
Through this project, discarded materials were transformed into something beautiful, creating green art from excess pieces and allowing the stories embedded in years of remnants to take shape in a fresh form.
Layered with emotion, the piece also serves as a heartfelt homage to Michael Leyva’s late brother Brian Leyva, who was also a fashion designer and his enduring guardian angel.

Creativity meets community
In this meaningful collaboration, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls shows how style and sustainability can coexist, with Uptown Mall serving as a space where art and experiences come together for people to connect and enjoy the season.
Celebrating Filipino creativity, conscious innovation, and community, the reimagined tree carrying the accumulated stories of its past now stands as a symbol of new memories waiting to be made, where families and friends gather for photos, create joyful memories, and revel in the holiday atmosphere at Uptown Bonifacio.
