‘Life Space’ offers a peek into the vision of Signature Series

Here, Signature Series by SM Residences has introduced its first “Life Space,” a thoughtfully designed setting built not to showcase units, but to allow guests to immerse themselves in the thinking behind SM Prime Holdings’ premium residential brand.
As the first physical touchpoint, the 300-sqm Life Space plays a critical role as it will give investors and homebuyers a clearer sense of the design principles, material sensibilities, and lifestyle values that will define future Signature Series communities.
“We call it a ‘Life Space’ because it’s designed to show people what thoughtful living feels like. The materials come together in a balanced way that inspires a more considered, more refined approach to everyday life,” said Jessica Sy, vice president and head of Design, Innovation and Strategy at SM Prime.
Sophisticated space
This intent is immediately apparent as soon as you enter Life Space, which was designed by Lor Calma & Partners, known for landmark projects such as The Mind Museum, Freedom Memorial Museum in UP Diliman, and the redevelopment of the National Museum of the Philippines.
Once inside, guests are welcomed by a warm yet refined palette of wood, marble, and metal, expressed in tonal combinations of warm browns and cool grays. Ambient lighting softens the space, while commissioned artworks provide sculptural and visual depth, adding to the sophistication of the space.
One eye-catching piece is the commissioned wall-mounted sculpture by Reg Yuson. This piece, which draws from the artist’s “Territories” series, was inspired by the Susana Heights estate map, which Yuson reinterpreted into an organic, multilayered relief rendered in mixed media. This sculptural centerpiece connects the space to the estate’s geographic identity.
Complementing this is a collection of works by Lui Gonzales, created from meticulously layered tracing paper. The pieces lend softness and depth, balancing the materials while enhancing the Life Space’s refined ambiance.
Functional zones
This layered approach to design carries through to how the space itself is arranged. The Life Space is composed of several zones designed to facilitate discussion and exploration.
These include an inviting lounge and seating areas for informal conversations; quiet nooks that allow for one-on-one discussions; private conference rooms for presentations, negotiations, and closings; and a refined bar area intended for hosting clients and small gatherings.
All these elements create an environment where potential buyers, partners, and investors can engage with Signature Series in a manner aligned with its vision of a premium lifestyle.
“From here, we plan to open another Life Space in Susana Heights, with a target launch by first quarter of next year. It will be a special one because visitors can experience the natural charm of the estate firsthand,” Sy disclosed.

The 284-hectare Susana Heights estate in Muntinlupa City—Signature Series’ first undertaking—is a central component of SM Prime’s strategy to establish a strong presence in the premium residential segment.
