DOH warns public vs fake meds, shots
December 5, 2025
The Department of Health (DOH) has again warned the public against fake medicines and vaccines sold online or by unauthorized sellers.
It issued the reminder as the country marked Consciousness Week Against Counterfeit Medicines.
In a post on Thursday, the DOH urged the public to report immediately to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) any suspicious medicine or vaccine through ereport@fda.gov.ph or by calling 02-88095596.
It also called on people to watch out for the following signs of counterfeit medicines: error in label or spelling or suspicious packaging; lack of FDA batch or lot number, manufacturing and expiration date; different smell and taste of medicine; ineffectiveness; and unlicensed or unauthorized seller.
