Geely in the Philippines continues to grow
Geely is marking its sixth year in the country this 2025. During that span, the Chinese carmaker has reached success, navigated challenges and now continues to grow, bringing with them the good, as well as valuable lessons.
From a handful of dealerships at the brand’s inception to a now strong and growing presence throughout the country, serving more than 30,000 Filipino Geely owners. In its sixth year, Geely PH has one clear message: “resilience, gratitude, and a commitment to the long road ahead”.
Since 2019, Geely has adamantly expanded its footprint and gained foothold with emerging popular models such as the Coolray and Okavango. These models led the way in the marque’s expansion from Luzon, Visayas and all the way to Mindanao, with warm reception from new customers seeing the brand as avant-garde, family-oriented and future-driven, yet with remarkable value-for-money proposition.
Moreover, Geely Philippines likewise begins a new chapter this year starting as a subsidiary operating directly under Geely Auto Group. This means the brand now has a much stronger support system from the main headquarters in China, providing the local team with “stronger foundation to sustain growth, strengthen dealer partnerships, and deliver consistent care to customers nationwide.”

In its sixth year, Geely Philippines also gives back to its customers. With this, the company has introduced nationwide initiatives designed to ease ownership costs and make its vehicles more accessible. Specifically, buyers of the new Coolray benefit from a P150,000 price rollback, while families choosing the Okavango Elite can save as much as P100,000 on their purchase.
Likewise, existing Geely owners get to benefit from service and care programs that help reduce maintenance expenses, which help extend the lifespan of their vehicles.
Meanwhile, loyal customers who get to share their “wonderful Geely experience” with friends and family are recognized together with their growing community of advocates.
Last but certainly not the least, this milestone year also gives a chance for Geely to give recognition to its steadfast dealership network nationwide. The company acknowledges and recognizes their essential role in growth and productivity, that’s why Geely is all the more committed to help its dealers meet rising demand and deliver a consistent customer experience across the country through stronger sales and marketing campaigns.

“Our progress has never been ours alone,” said company head honcho, Qin Ye.
“It belongs to the customers who chose us, and the dealers who carried our name in their communities. This anniversary is about standing with them as we move forward together.”
Speaking of moving forward together, Geely will soon introduce new brands this coming 2026.
According to reports, confirmed arriving next year are the Geely EX5 EM-I, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the EX5 full EV and the Geely EX2, a full electric hatchback.
The former is powered by a 1.5-liter engine and 18.4kWh battery, which can reach up to 1,000km on a single full tank of gas and full charge. This will be directly competing with the renowned BYD Sealion 6 DM-i.
On the other hand, the EX2 will be powered by an 85kW electric motor (114 hp) and range of up to 395km and will compete with the BYD Seagull.
Other than these two, expect more from Geely this coming new year with its now renewed momentum and gradual yet steady growth.
