As it scales, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is tapping an old hand to help back its growth.

Paul Joseph Garcia, a well-known fund manager, has been named as the firm’s new independent director after Jose Raulito Paras tendered his resignation effective end-December.

At present, Garcia serves as the managing partner of Grow Capital Partners, a homegrown boutique investment management advisory firm engaged in providing financial advisory services and investment management solutions in financial and real estate investments.

He is also part of the board of trustees of the University of Asia and the Pacific. Garcia likewise serves as an independent director of GPay PH (GrabPay), a financial technology subsidiary of Grab Philippines and RL Fund Management.
