Talk of the town: The will to pass an anti-dynasty law

Comments on ”The will to pass an anti-dynasty law” (Editorial, 12/21/25) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

The authors of the 1987 Constitution must have known how difficult it would be to construct antidynasty rules. Why else would they leave it for others to solve. Much as one might bemoan dynastic power, it is nonetheless a very difficult measure to enact both equitably and democratically.

To some, it looks easy, political will being allegedly the only missing element, but as they say, the devil is in the details. Remember how term limits were celebrated when they were passed, only to see family members happily passing the torch among themselves as a result?
