BIZ BUZZ: Newport World Resorts isn’t just about glamor
Recently, the Philippines’ first integrated gaming resort hit a new kind of jackpot—the inauguration of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) Center for Leadership and Excellence.
Located at Fort Andres Bonifacio in Taguig City, the six-story facility is designed to house and develop the next generation of military leaders through training programs and learning initiatives.
The multipurpose hub was built and funded through its corporate social responsibility arm, Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc. It noted that the project had received clearance from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
“We were present throughout all the phases, during the signing of the agreement, the groundbreaking, the topping-off, the fit-out of the building, and now its inauguration and blessing,” said Newport World Resorts president and CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez.
Aside from Rodriguez, Pagcor chair and CEO Alejandro Tengco, PMAAAI chair and CEO Adm. Ramon Punzalan and PMAAAI president BGen Pedro Agapito joined the inauguration ceremony earlier this month.
