The idea that the US is unique or distinctive among nations in that it holds itself to founding principles, values, and roles in the world in the time of Trump is a little unfair. Trump is an aberration, an anomaly, and should not be taken as necessarily the new American “normal.”

America was born because it’s people didn’t want to be ruled by a king and now the guy acts like an absolute king.
