Honda Cars PH launches the New CR-V with Dual Hybrid variants

Carl Cunanan

Honda Cars Philippines brought some things to the market that the market will quite enjoy. At the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center this weekend, they released five new offerings. The big news was the introduction of three new Honda CR-Vs, two of which are hybrid and one of which is full internal combustion. The two e:HEV hybrids are now available with a choice of either the RS or the VX version, so this gives a welcome option to those that wanted the Honda CR-V Hybrid, but without the sportiness of the RS. The non hybrid version is an upgraded VTRC Turbo.

The other two special releases included the 30th anniversary celebration units for the City and City Hatchback in what they are calling a Pearl Edition with special detailing. Honda has included special details such as eight-year warranties for the hybrid batteries, and improved levels of safety with their integrated Honda SENSING safety systems.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) says this marks a major step forward in the automaker’s electrification strategy. The latest iteration of Honda’s flagship SUV introduces two e:HEV full hybrid variants alongside a refined VTEC Turbo option, delivering what the company describes as a blend of premium sophistication, sporty performance, and everyday versatility. The lineup consists of the range-topping CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT featuring Real-Time All-Wheel Drive, the CR-V 2.0 VX e:HEV E-CVT for refined urban driving, and the CR-V 1.5 V Turbo HuNT CVT as the sole gasoline variant. The hybrid models achieve impressive fuel efficiency ratings of up to 29.4 km/L under urban conditions, while all variants come equipped with advanced safety features including Honda SENSING, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitor.

The New CR-V showcases significant technological upgrades across the range, including Google Built-in for hands-free voice control, Honda CONNECT smartphone integration, and Head-Up Display now available on both RS and VX variants. Interior enhancements include black leather seats with RS-exclusive red stitching, while exterior design varies by grade with the HuNT variant featuring distinctive copper accents and exclusive Philippine-market badging. HCPI is backing its hybrid technology with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer battery warranty for the e:HEV models. The New CR-V is available in four colors.
