BIZ BUZZ: Bengzon joins ICCP

Tina Arceo-Dumlao

After a brief break following his departure from Ayala Land Inc., Augusto Bengzon is back in the saddle again, this time as chair and chief executive officer of Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP).

Guillermo Luchango, ICCP chair of the executive committee, said Bengzon “brings a strong record in finance, governance and strategic leadership.”

Immediately prior to joining ICCP, Bengzon was chief finance officer of the Ayala-led property giant.

During his tenure at ALI, Bengzon was involved in strengthening its capital position, advancing its investor relations program and supporting its expansion across multiple real estate asset classes.

Before joining ALI, he spent 16 years with Citibank, where he served in several areas in consumer, corporate and investment banking.

The knowledge and experience gained from these top organizations will certainly serve Bengzon well as he takes on this new challenge.

“We are confident that his experience and perspective will serve ICCP well as it continues to build on its long-term growth plan,” Luchangco added.
