ACEN to supply renewable energy to Japanese logistics firm

Ayala-led ACEN Corp. entered into an agreement to fuel the local operations of a Japanese logistics firm with renewable energy, strengthening its position as the leader in the government’s green energy option program (GEOP).

ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES) has been tapped by Yusen Logistics Philippines Inc., a global supply chain provider, to energize the latter’s head office in Parañaque City.

According to Yusen Logistics president Mitsutaka Matsubara, the deal would advance the group’s target to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions across its services by 2050.

Yusen Logistics offers end-to-end supply chain solutions, including international freight forwarding covering air and sea. Its clients are in the industries of aerospace, automotive, food, health care, retail and technology.

With more than 30 years of experience in the market, it has already expanded its presence in the capital region, other parts of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
