PhilWeb cues online gaming platform in 30,000 machines
PhilWeb readies roll out of online gaming platform across 30,000 machines
PhilWeb Corp. has signed a strategic service agreement with global gaming equipment and content supplier FBM to develop and deploy online gaming capabilities across FBM’s extensive nationwide machine and venue network.
In a statement on Monday, PhilWeb said the rollout is expected to begin across thousands of machines and may eventually scale to as many as 30,000 machines in more than 500 gaming venues nationwide.
PhilWeb said the partnership will see the company provide technology services, systems integration and regulatory-compliant support to build and operate FBM Philippines’ online gaming platform.
FBM specializes in video bingo, slot machines and electronic gaming machines. It has over 20 years of presence in the Philippine market. It is considered a dominant player in the electronic bingo segment, operating one of the country’s largest gaming venue networks.
Unlike conventional online gaming projects that operate independently of physical venues, the agreement introduces an online-to-offline (O2O) model.
This allows digital gaming content and engagement features to be delivered directly through FBM’s existing brick-and-mortar machine and venue network.
PhilWeb said this approach is designed to help physical e-gaming venues address traffic pressures, boost player engagement and strengthen revenues, particularly as standalone offline operations face increasing challenges.
PhilWeb president Brian Ng said the collaboration would enable FBM to build online capabilities deeply integrated into its current infrastructure instead of launching a separate platform.
“By embedding online functionality directly into physical venues, we can support FBM in driving engagement and revitalizing offline operations at scale,” Ng said.
For FBM Philippines, the deal is seen as a way to expand its online presence while reinforcing its core venue-based business.
“This partnership enables us to extend our online presence in a way that directly benefits our offline business,” said Pepe Costa, FBM Philippines country manager.
Costa added that deploying online-driven features across machines and venues could enhance the player experience and create stronger revenue opportunities for partners.
Both companies said the agreement marks a strategic step toward expanding regulated electronic gaming offerings, advancing online-to-offline integration and supporting the long-term sustainability of the country’s e-gaming sector.
