Volvo PH bags Volvo Personal Service global certification

Volvo Cars Philippines has been on a roll since Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) took over the Swedish luxury marque’s distributorship last year.

Besides the launch last Thursday of its all-new flagships, the ES90 and EX90 battery-electric vehicles, the carmaker also announced that it successfully passed the official certification for Volvo Personal Service (VPS) – a rigorous program completed by all local service personnel to meet the brand’s global standards.

VPS fortifies a system that cares for the client throughout their Volvo ownership experience to ensure that their vehicles remain as safe as the day they were released. Volvo Cars Philippines said this is in line with its goal of establishing long-term relationships that go beyond just offering safe and reliable vehicles.

“Earning this certification is both an honor and a responsibility,” said HARI vice chair, president and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo in a press statement.

“It reinforces our commitment to keeping our clients safe while continuously investing in the growth of our service personnel,” she added. “Through the VPS program, Volvo Cars Philippines strengthens a balanced and sustainable Volvo ecosystem, one where people, standards, and care move forward together.”

Volvo’s global training team imparted key lessons to local Volvo Cars personnel on ensuring personalized, long-term customer care.

One-on-one, long-term care

The certification was achieved through a strong partnership with Volvo’s global training team, thus leading to the creation of Volvo Cars Philippines Personal Service Technicians.

Volvo Cars Philippines said among the key points of the VPS certification include understanding the customers better from a personal standpoint and providing what they need, thus making the whole car ownership experience truly human-centric.

The luxury brand said the VPS process begins immediately after a Volvo purchase, whereby each customer is assigned a dedicated Personal Service Technician who takes care of everything throughout the car’s lifespan – from booking appointments and carrying out service work to invoicing and routine follow-up calls.

The company said the principle behind having the same technician throughout the Volvo ownership lies in the relationship built over time that allows service personnel to understand the owner, as well as the car. The goal of this strong and continuous working partnership is greater efficiency and significantly shorter customer waiting times.
