PropertyGuru launches 14th Philippines Property Awards
The 14th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards has officially kicked off, setting the stage anew to recognize the country’s most outstanding real estate projects and developers in 2026.
The programme, which continues to highlight innovation, sustainability and excellence in the property sector, was launched on Wednesday at the Asia Connect Manila 2026, where industry leaders, experts, and developers gathered to mark the start of this year’s awards season.
Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, opened the event, noting the strong performance of the Philippines in last year’s programme and expressing optimism for an even bigger edition in 2026.

Gold standard of recognition
Kay described the awards as the “gold standard” of real estate recognition in Asia, highlighting their credibility through an independent panel of expert judges and a rigorous evaluation process that includes site inspections across the country. On top of that, the awards also notably serve as a platform for industry collaboration and improvement.
“We’ve become something of a partner for the industry. We’re not just recognizing. We’re also advising, we’re discussing, and we’re helping developers improve year on year. And it always encourages me at the gala, when we hear the speeches of people saying that winning this award makes me want to do better, and we have seen from developers continual improvement over the last 14 years,” Kay explained.
“From the judges’ perspective, the awards process has matured into more than recognition. We serve as an industry sounding board. And through the years, developers have used our feedback to improve quality of projects, refining the product segmentation and benchmarking standards,” added Cyndy Tan Jarabata, chair of the independent judging panel and president of Tajara Leisure & Hospitality Group Inc.

“We look forward to the 14th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards as leading developers shift from building homes to building communities, responding more thoughtfully to property seekers’ needs nationwide,” Jarabata added.
People’s Choice Awards
One of the most exciting highlights this year is the debut of the People’s Choice Awards, which will be supported by Inquirer Property.
This new category is a significant addition to this year’s awards, as it gives Filipino property seekers a powerful voice, allowing the public to vote for the top 10 developers in the country.
Previously introduced in PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programmes in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, these consumer-driven accolades invite residents across the Philippines to recognize the developers shaping the nation’s real estate landscape. All parent companies of developers competing in the judged categories automatically qualify for the awards.
“The voting period will be from the 13th to the 26th of July, and we will announce the winners at the Gala—same as we do for the (other) categories,” Kay added.

Expanded roster
This year’s edition likewise presents an expanded roster of categories, reflecting evolving market priorities and shifts.
On top of the existing categories, eight new titles will be added namely Best Golf Course View Condo Development; Best Golf Course View Housing Development; Best Renovated Residential Development; Best First Home Development; Best Marina Development; Best Landmark Development; Best Housing Developer; and Best Condo Developer.
Submission of entries ends on June 19. The gala dinner and presentation of the 14th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards will be held on August 20, ahead of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in December 2026, in which winners from the Philippines will compete for the title of Best in Asia.
“Philippine real estate is entering a new era characterized by scale, sustainability, and strong economic momentum. Last year’s awards included around 70 diverse categories and celebrated excellence across varied asset classes, from affordable housing and luxury condominiums to townships and industrial estates,” Kay said.
“With global institutions forecasting solid economic growth, developers are delivering smarter, greener, and more market-responsive projects. These trends point to an industry that is decentralising, innovating, and positioning itself to support the country’s long-term growth. We look forward to seeing the finest developers raise the bar once again at the awards,” he added.
