A total of 321 Filipinos from Kuwait arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) on Wednesday morning as part of the government’s repatriation efforts for those fleeing from the escalating war in the Middle East, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) reported.
Also on board the special flight were the remains of 20 OFWs although an Owwa officer said their deaths were not related to the conflict.
The Department of Migrant Workers also said that 21 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and three dependents from Dubai and 11 OFWs from Lebanon arrived in Manila on a separate flight.
Earlier, another 125 Filipinos from Dubai returned to the country on Tuesday evening.
