Customs to auction off 6 more luxury vehicles
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) will conduct another public auction for six luxury vehicles on May 7.
In a social media post on Saturday, the BOC-Port of Manila said the public auction through sealed bidding would be held at 10 a.m. at the conference room of its Prefab Building in Port Area.
The vehicles up for auction are Lexus ES (2019); Jeep Wrangler (2021); BMW X6 (2023); Mercedes-Benz S680 Maybach (2023); Bentley Continental (2022); and Rolls-Royce Cullinan (2021).
A public viewing for interested bidders is scheduled May 4 and May 5 at the BOC-Manila grounds. Earlier, the BOC said it was looking to earn P69.8 million, based on the floor prices.
During the last public auction on April 28, it sold only the Rolls-Royce Phantom 2023 for P25.5 million, out of 12 luxury vehicles offered.
The vehicles are linked to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators.
The BOC likewise declared a failed negotiated sale of 21 vehicles last week after two bidders were disqualified due to technicalities.
Vehicles up for sale include two units of GMC Denali, a Maserati Levante and a Cadillac Escalade.
