Couples for Christ launches “Journey to 45” countdown to landmark anniversary celebration

Quezon City, Philippines — Global Catholic lay community Couples for Christ (CFC) has kicked-off its 45-day countdown “Journey to 45,” in anticipation of its 45th anniversary celebration culminating in a grand gathering at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium, Tarlac on June 20, 2026. This marks the first time CFC is bringing its grand celebration to Central Luzon.

The announcement was made by Bro. Jimmy Ilagan, CFC Executive Director, during the recent Metro Manila Mission Core Gathering held at the Ynares Sports Stadium in Pasig City. He shared that a dynamic lineup of activities in June will engage both Philippine- and international-based leaders and members of the community.

Couples for Christ celebrates its anniversary every third Saturday of June – an occasion for leaders and members to be spiritually nourished and renewed in their mission of evangelization. Today, CFC continues to serve in 81 provinces across the Philippines and over 140 countries globally.

Week-Long Celebration of Faith, Mission, and Community

Leading up to the grand celebration, CFC will host a series of activities from June 13 to June 20, including:

Liveloud Worship Concert – June 13, Cuneta Astrodome
Fundraising Golf Tournament – June 15, Villamor Air Base Golf Course (in support of CFC’s social mission initiatives)
Art Exhibit, leadership summits, gatherings, and fellowship events – June 16 to 18, SPACE at One Ayala
“Star of 45” Musical Play and “Symphony of Prayer” Orchestra Concert – June 17, SPACE at One Ayala
CFC Clergy-Lay Congress – June 18, SPACE at One Ayala
CFC Katarungan para sa Pamilyang Pilipino Summit and Stewardship, Oneness and Interdependence Summit – June 20 morning, New Clark City

These events will culminate in the anniversary celebration in New Clark City, bringing together thousands of members, partners, and guests, in vibrant expression of faith and community.

A Historic First for CFC

This milestone celebration is particularly significant, as it marks the first time CFC will host 13 major events within a single week.

According to Bro. Jimmy, this anniversary is made even more meaningful by the confirmed presence of official representatives from the Vatican.

This historic gathering highlights not only their journey as a community but also the continued commitment to building Christ-centered families, serving the poor, and proclaiming the Gospel worldwide.
