Everyday luxuries worth making room for
There are some luxurious household items that have become essential in our lives.
We may not always think of them as luxuries because they are used daily and considered must-haves at home. Depending on the brand, these items can come at a higher price, but I consider them luxurious because they elevate my daily routine and make life more comfortable.
Valet tray
A valet tray can be made of wood, exotic skin, or stone. What makes this piece useful is how easily it organizes your pocket essentials when you get home. You can place your wallet, phone, and everyday jewelry on it, so nothing gets lost and everything has a permanent place.
A drop zone or family foyer
A drop zone is a small area right after your entryway. Ideally, it provides storage for shoes, daily bags, cleaning supplies, and even USB ports for a charging station. For a bigger family foyer, you can add a gift-wrapping area, storage for dedication cards, and gift bags.
Fresh flowers and plants
Beautiful orchids on exotic dried roots can make a setup worth admiring. Fresh plants in antique planters are also great accents. I get my orchid arrangements from Fresh Botanicals on IG. When placed strategically around your home, these arrangements can create focal points.
Virtual voice assistant
I can’t live without Alexa. It plays music, answers my questions about time, temperature, and traffic. I work out with it, too! Whether you have Google, Alexa, or Siri, these smart assistants can be good companions at home.
High quality kitchenware
Good cookware is an investment and can make your meals better-tasting. Since 2020, I have upgraded my pots and pans to Le Creuset and have never looked back. I even cook more now that I have better cookware. It also helps to have an automatic slicer, a veggie chopper, and other kitchen gadgets that make life more efficient.
Glass jar storage
There is nothing more satisfying than watching someone on video decant pantry food into organized jars with perfectly arranged labels. Stacking them in your pantry and kitchen cabinets with shelf risers makes it even more satisfying—not to mention, it also helps avoid expired food since everything can be easily seen.
Shark Turbo blade fan
This fan is a game-changer. You can set the blades in different directions, rotate it 360 degrees, and adjust the wind speed to feel like a natural breeze. The air feels more like an AC than a fan.
Sauna and steam room
With the wellness bandwagon, having this equipment at home, if you have the space, can literally be a lifesaver. Together with a good set of dumbbells, an elliptical, a treadmill, and other fitness equipment, you can have your own gym at home.

No TV, no problem! A portable projector lets you move your viewing setup around, so you can watch anywhere in your home.
Showerhead with massager option
A showerhead with these functions can make every bath feel more relaxing, giving you that instant sense of calm. If you can find one with a misting option, that’s even better.
Massage chair
I will not say which brand works better since each one has different functions and special effects. Personally, I do love my OSIM chair because it helps relieve my arthritis.

This appliance can blend almost anything well and fast.
Pizza oven
I like serving pizza super hot, so a pizza oven has become essential in my home when entertaining guests. Pizza is also quite affordable to make. All you need is good pizza dough for the crust. From there, you can add any toppings you wish, from leftovers to little canned tidbits.
Automated food warmer
No need for candles—just get a plug-in food warmer. Place the pot on top of it, and it will keep your food hot. It’s very useful for parties and get-togethers.
Premium mattress
As we age, sleep becomes important. I prefer a mattress that helps with my back pain and allows me to sleep longer than five hours. I like antibacterial mattresses paired with Egyptian cotton bedsheets.
Heated towel racks
Heated towel racks in the bathroom are non-negotiable for me. Nothing feels better than a warm cotton towel after a long bath.
