BIZ BUZZ: FLI’s trophy haul sends a message
Gotianun-led Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) seems eager to remind the market that its residential business remains firmly on track.
The property developer recently swept several categories at the FIABCI Philippines Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards, collecting gold citations for projects in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao while extending its reign as Developer of the Year for a third straight year.
While awards are common fare in the property sector, the timing of FLI’s latest recognition is notable. The housing market has become more competitive as buyers grow increasingly selective and developers grapple with higher construction costs and evolving consumer preferences.
Against that backdrop, FLI appears keen on highlighting the breadth of its residential footprint. Among the projects recognized were Somerset Lane in Tarlac, Futura Monte in Naga, Sanremo Oasis in Cebu and Maldives Oasis in Davao, while Havila Township in Rizal earned a silver award for master-planned development.
The company’s president and CEO, Tristan Las Marias, who was also named Property Man of the Year, said the awards reflect the trust placed by homebuyers and investors in the group’s developments nationwide.
For market watchers, the bigger takeaway may be Filinvest’s effort to reinforce confidence in its residential platform at a time when buyers are paying closer attention to project delivery, quality and long-term value.
After all, trophies look good in display cases. But in real estate, the real prize is convincing buyers that their investment will stand the test of time.
