Lady CPA to lead Mazda C5 Pasig’s new chapter

After Inchcape Philippines relinquished its hold of its Mazda C5 Pasig dealership, Bermaz Auto Philippines, Inc. (BAP) recently appointed Bermaz Auto Asia, Inc. (BAAI) to take the reins.

As the latter assumes operations of the dealership, it said it is committed to deliver an elevated ownership experience for Filipino customers. BAAI is an associated company of BAP, the exclusive distributor of Mazda in the country.

“This marks a new chapter for Mazda in the Philippines and Bermaz Auto Asia, Inc. as we continue investing in the Mazda brand, its people, and most importantly, its customers,” says Steven Tan, president and CEO of Mazda Philippines.

Tan said that following the end of the dealership agreement with Inchape Philippines last July 31, they are renewing their promise to deliver exceptional customer care by strengthening the ownership journey through personalized service, meaningful relationships, and a long-term commitment to every Mazda owner.

Helping achieve this is BAAI dealer principal, Ronette Tanjuatco, who served as head of finance and general administration for Mazda Philippines for the last 10 years.

“My background is in finance and accounting. I also worked as an external auditor in the US before,” she shared.

“Back when I was still with Mazda Philippines, I was helping them with their financing programs. With this, we plan to bring this Mazda C5 Pasig, as well,” she added. “We ought to bring customer value.”

Financing as backbone

According to studies, nowadays, financing is the backbone of the automotive retail industry. In fact, most modern dealerships operate more like financial services companies that happen to sell cars, as the majority of their profit comes from the finance department.

Tanjuatco further explained that there is a very good transition from Inchcape Philippines to Mazda Philippines.

Located along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue corner Carlos J. Caparas in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City, Mazda C5 Pasig is the first Mazda dealership in the country to implement the Japanese Premium dealership concept using natural materials and lighting.

The dealership was designed by the masterful genius of Architect Ted Ramos, who likewise designed the Mazda Center of Excellence facility in Cabuyao, Laguna, which was then inspired by the Mazda Takadanobaba facility in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

And just like it, the 2,343-square-meter Mazda C5 Pasig “embodies the overall spirit and direction of Mazda’s premium direction by translating the brand’s award-winning and sophisticated design into the retail space.”

The dealership’s open scheme floor plan is ideal for a display of up to six Mazda vehicles in its showroom. It includes six service bays, offering preventive maintenance service (PMS) and general job and repair services.

Mazda C5 Pasig also features a dedicated manpower of sales and aftersales professionals. It likewise traces its roots as Mazda Greenhills, one of the pioneering dealerships of Mazda in the country. It started operations under CATS Motors in August 2004, before relocating to C5 Pasig in August 2023 under Inchcape Philippines.

Mazda C5 Pasig is open from Mondays to Sundays 8 am to 6pm.
