Comments on “Beyond ‘Tatak Pinoy’ branding,” (Editorial, 3/10/24) via www.inquirer.net:

A genuine standardization practice should be implemented in all areas of our society, not just in the government, not just in manufacturing, not just in tourism but all aspects that carry our nation’s identity should be streamlined for higher quality. That anywhere a Filipino goes he’ll be able to recommend it to his foreign peers and he’s not going be embarrassed nor disappointed by the products/services quality.

Well, for one, the government itself should be made to patronize our own local products. Government at the local and national level procures in very large volumes but do you know that locally made products most often do not make it for one reason or another?

“Quality goes in before the name goes on,” a Zenith ad in the ’60s. Best way to promote products. In this, practically nothing to be proud of.
