Drink to International Whisky Day

On March 27, The Whisky Library invites connoisseurs and the curious to indulge in this curated list of its finest expressions, including the Whisky Wonder, an original cocktail that blends the full-bodied flavor of Tamnavulin Double Cask Single Malt with the nuanced sweetness of pomegranate, grenadine and vanilla for P520 net.

Within The Whisky Library’s vast collections are whisky flights, a series of three samples of different whiskies, offering a tasting experience that transcends time, such as The Balvenie flight for P1,950 nett. Each pour comes from its renowned distilleries in Scotland with its “Five Rare Crafts” philosophy, emphasizing the traditions of whisky making. First on the flight is 12 Years Doublewood, the perfect introduction to The Balvenie’s signature style, boasting notes of honey, vanilla and subtle spices. This is followed by 14 Years Caribbean Cask that hints of its tropical finish with toffee, sweet oak and a fruity character that develops with time. For last, the 16 Years French Oak tastes of almond pastries, honeyed apricot, geranium and buttery vanilla with a citrusy finish.

Another highly-regarded single malt flight from the Scottish Highlands is Glengoyne, known best for its unhurried distillation process and maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks, which comes in 12, 15 and 18 years for P1,700 nett.
