Chery’s new energy vehicles to be showcased at MIAS

Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) will be showcasing its new energy vehicle lineup at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) from April 4 to 7, 2024.

During the four-day event, Chery will highlight the QPower brand concept through its latest lineup of new energy vehicles, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), Tiggo 7 PHEV and the Tiggo 8 PHEV, together with the full electric vehicle eQ7.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV features a dual motor setup that produces 170hp and 315 N-m. It is paired with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, making 156hp and 230N-m. When combined, it achieves a class-leading 326hp and 545N-m of torque.

Its three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system comes with a 19.27-kWh lithium-ion battery that can reach an all-electric range of 80 kilometers. It can be charged using a conventional household socket or wall box. This setup can squeeze up to 16.8 km/L in a mixed city and highway driving.

Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV with a 1.5cc engine produces 320 hp and 545 N-m of torque.

While the Chery eQ7 is powered by electric motors producing 135kW and 155kW with torque of 225Nm and 285Nm respectively. Top speed is 180km/h and 0-100km/h acceleration takes 8 seconds.

This roster of Chery NEVs will underscore the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions, redefining every customer’s driving experience with technology that is at par with global standards. This also reinforces the brand cores: Green, Technology, Family, and Companionship.

According to Chery, it has honed in on real-world vehicle use scenarios, crafting products that not only satisfy users but also promote sharing. The Q-Power is a testament to Chery’s 26-year evolution in powertrain technology, embracing diverse power modalities like gasoline, hybrid, pure electric, and hydrogen.
