That’s how justice in the Philippines works: only for the rich and powerful. Has there been any government official jailed for plunder? NONE. There were three of them condemned and judged as GUILTY by the Sandiganbayan. Where are they? Enjoying their loot—in hundreds of millions, if not billions. It’s the taxpayers’ hard-earned money. But, if the poor people get caught stealing a small loaf of bread, right away they will be thrown in jail. No hearings, whatsoever.
