When a valuable treasure is discovered off the coast of Korea, the country’s biggest degenerates come crawling out of the woodwork in the hope of striking it big in “Low Life,” a new series coming in 2025 to Disney+.

In 1970s Korea, a fisherman discovers a treasure lost for generations at the bottom of the ocean. Taking a small part of it home for himself, word soon begins to spread about the vast fortune waiting to be claimed by those brave enough to risk the depths.

Desperate to escape his depressing life, Oh Hee-dong partners with his uncle Oh Gwan-seok in an attempt to reach the treasure before the rest of the world. But with both family members lacking loyalty and integrity, the tension boils to a tipping point.

Starring Ryu Seung-ryong (“Moving”) as Oh Gwan-seok, and Yang Se-jong (“Doona!”) as Oh Hee-dong, “Low Life” is written and directed by Kang Yun-sung (“Big Bet”).

Low Life is the latest Korean drama to be announced as part of the ever-growing collection of unmissable Korean storytelling now available on Disney+. Enjoy immediate access to award-winning series “Big Bet,” starring legendary actor Choi Min-sik as a serial entrepreneur who repeatedly crosses the line to help bolster his burgeoning casino business; and “Moving,” about a group of South Korean special agents working to protect their super-powered children from harm and exploitation; the recently released smash hit “A Shop For Killers,” and an entire library of other unmissable content on Disney+.
